The Family Series
We know how difficult it can be to understand all of the aspects of the aging process. That is why Logan Acres provide’s online courses that can help you learn more about this period of life. The courses, in partnership with Upstairs Solutions, provide valuable information to friends and family members of individuals residing in or considering a senior care community. The courses are free and cover a wide range of topics such as Advance Directives, Diabetes, Dementia, and a Medicare overview.

Alzheimer's Support Group
Logan Acres Care Center, in partnership with the Miami Valley Alzheimer's Association offers a caregiver's support group on the second Tuesday of every month. The group meets from 6:30pm-8:30pm. For more information please contact Cathy Riegel at 599-7064.

Alzheimer’s Association: The Miami Valley Chapter has their own site that provides resources, news and information about Alzheimer’s care in our community.

Area Council on Aging: This site provides specific resources for senior citizens in West Central Ohio.

Catholic Social Services: CSS provides the PASSPORT services for Logan and surrounding counties. These services can help older adults living in the community who need various types of assistance.

LTC Ohio Consumer Guide: Every year the Ohio Department of Health releases a resident or family survey for long term care facilities. This site is a great tool for consumers to view survey history about a specific or group of facilities.

Medicare: This website provides information about everything related to Medicare. We recommned this site to everyone approaching retirement age. It is also valuable if you have questions regarding benefits for someone who is currently enrolled in Medicare.

Medicaid: ODJFS provides valuable material on this site for those interested in how Medicaid covers long term care.
